She Is The Music

She Is The Music
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She is such a special girl
She sits alone, but she is never alone
Her music stays with her always
Coming from her father’s old Walkman
Through a pair of her favorite headphones
The music becomes a part of her
Each note travels to her fingers
Coming out as a new poem or a new story
Or maybe a princess is a witch’s palace
Something only she can fully understand
But, that is who this girl truly is
She is the music and the music is her

The Girl Death Loved

The Girl Death Loved
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She was the loneliest woman alive
But Death craved her soul
He wanted her for her beauty
But the rules said that she was free
So, the moment she died
No one mourned for her
But Death loved her so much
True, he could never have her
But he could never let her go
He carved her image onto a wall
A special place where she always sat
Death’s tribute to the girl he loved

Unbridled Creativity

Unbridled Creativity
By Lord R.e. Taylor

So many bright, intense colors
Almost creating a sensory overload
Even with that it is thoroughly beautiful
A true tribute to the owner
An unbridled creativity
So rare in a concrete and glass world

Yelling In The Fog

Yelling In The Fog
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The forest gives you time and space you never had
The ability to climb on to an ancient rock
Yell as loud as you can into the morning fog
Then wait for someone to answer back to you
Either God or a lost spirit, someone will answer
And you will know that you do truly exist

A Brand-New Woman

A Brand-New Woman
By Lord R.e. Taylor

You were always a colorful girl
Tie dyed shorts and flowered tops
Always finding new ways to not fit in
You made one final trip to the chemist
Fifty dollars and ten boxes of hair dye
And, after the longest day ever
Then a new you was created
More colorful and more beautiful
A brand-new woman for a brand-new world

Foggy Night

Foggy Night
By Lord R.e. Taylor

As the evening air cools
The fog rolls into the cities
Covering them in thick gray shrouds
Hiding all of those who have secrets
Protecting those who need protecting
But then the light of day comes in
Warming the air and revealing all
Secrets are brought to light
The unprotected have to fear
And the world becomes a little less safe
At least until comes another foggy night

I Dream Of You

I Dream Of You
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Every night I wished about the same thing
I did not think it would ever come true
It all started when I was a child
Maybe eleven or twelve years old
I saw your picture in a magazine
And at that moment I fell in love
You only lived a year but my dreams are forever
Someday I am sure my dreams will come true
I will finally have my 1956 Thunderbird
And my life will be complete

Changes

Changes
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Things change
They appear
They disappear
Some stay
Most go away
It cannot be easy
It may not be hard
You just must watch
Watch it all and wait
Remember one thing
Soon it will be done
And you will see
Your world changed
Nothing is the same
There is nothing you can do
So, just accept it all
And wait until the next time

Three Whispered Words

Three Whispered Words
By Lord R.e. Taylor

I love looking into your eyes
Seeing the life within you
Feeling you breathing against me
Our hearts beating as one
As we feel the warmth of love
But to hear your softest whisper
Saying those three words only we share
That makes my heart beat faster
My mind to only think about you
And my love for you to grown ever more
All from just three whispered words

Fight Old Age

Fight Old Age
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Old age is something everyone gets
But do not go gracefully into that night
To begin with don’t listen to the normal people
Always do everything you want to do
And become whoever you want to be
Just make sure that you are you and just you

Twelve children gone
Twenty-four parents mourned
Hanging twelve silver hearts
One for each lost angel

Eva

Eva
By Lord R.e. Taylor

More than thirteen million years ago
In the instant when time began
God looked and said that he needed perfection
A woman more beautiful than any other
He worked and laboured harder than ever before
So many tries came and went
Finally he found the perfect woman
Beautiful, loving, and someone so rare
She was born sometime to a normal family
But she grew up and she never knew
She was God’s most perfect woman
And He named her Eva, the giver of life
And she finally found true love
And God was happy in Heaven
Eva found the life she deserved
She found her happiness
and she found out who she really is
Eva, the world’s most perfect woman

Magical Flowers

Magical Flowers
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The flowers bloom in a special place
A special place for special flowers
A land of fairies and pixies
In their magical gowns
Made from God’s special flowers

A Driver’s Life

A Driver’s Life
By Lord R.e. Taylor

They left at sunrise
Driving so many miles
Alone except for their radio
And the voices of other truckers
Their lives are saved in eighteen wheels
In the road which lies beneath them
But when the sun finally sets
And their trucks are finally put away
They sleep a peaceful kind of sleep
Knowing that their wheels will soon turn again
They live the lives of truckers
And for them there is no other life

The First Kiss

The First Kiss
By Lord R.e. Taylor

It can happen in just a few minutes
Or it can seem to take forever
All it takes is two people who met
Brought together for some reason
Their hearts beating in the same rhythm
Not a word has to be spoken
Just a look or a feeling is all it takes
A first kiss bringing them together
The two become one in that moment
And their love will become legend

Be Creative

Be Creative
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Are you afraid in your own mind
Scared that no one will like your stuff
Terrified that someone will say you suck
You know that you have a talent
It us the time to finally show who you are
Do not ever pay attention to anyone
They do not know you or how you think
So, be the you who you know you are
Just be creative and show what you can do
They may not like it but so what
As long as you like it it is the masterpiece you wanted
And it is the masterpiece the world deserves
So be creative and be you

A Blessed Temptation

A Blessed Temptation
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Who is responsible
Are they God’s creations
Something to tempt us
To draw us into a life of sin
Or were they created by man
Just for enjoyment and getting fat
Especially with a hot cup of coffee
Either way they were created for us
A temptation to end all temptations
And a blessing to any who eat them

Love Before We Met

Love Before We Met
By Lord R.e. Taylor

It was not too long ago
We were just strangers
Not even knowing the other existed
Then there was a moment of magic
I got to see images of you
Every picture of you was beautiful
I could not believe that you were real
We said hello in the middle of the night
Speaking every moment we could
Thinking of each other with every breath
When we fell in an everlasting love
And the universe knew it was changing
All in the moment we became a blessed couple

Someday, Someone, Somewhere

Someday, Someone, Somewhere
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Why should we listen
No one listens to us
They have the guns and tanks
We have nothing at all
Not even the power of our voices
If we ever do try and speak out
We are hounded and hunted
Thrown into deep dark prisons
No trial to argue our point
They make sure we are just gone
But someday someone somewhere
Someone will say things they cannot deny
And their rule will become just a footnote
Lost to a mightier voice
The voice of the people

Isolated in a pine forest
Peace and relaxation
Untouched by man
Too bad it has been found
Paradise lost

Your Beauty

Your Beauty
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Given the beauty you show
Your skin as flawless as a perfect diamond
A smile which makes the flowers jealous
Eyes which hold every star in the night's heavens
And the personality only angels may have
Someone somewhere knew what they were doing
Giving us a woman the world has never seen
A woman that the world will never see again
However, we are blessed now to have you
And I am blessed to be the man you love

Man’s Last Creation

Man’s Last Creation
By Lord R.e. Taylor

It has been a lifetime
The last time we all shared a fear
Countries on the edge
Leaders puffing up their chests
While their people hide in fear
All it would take is just one word
Or even just a wrong thought
A planet surrounded by a blinding light
Millions of mushroom clouds rising over every land
Screams of the dead and the dying
At last darkness settles after a violent second
And we will all be gone
No tears left for anyone or anything
Taken away by man's own creation

It All Comes Down

It All Comes Down
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She has faced so much
Too much for someone like her
Far too much for someone so young
But it was only a matter of time
One last pain in her heart
One more thought no one should have
One last decision she will ever make
It all comes down to a moment she doesn’t regret
A last breath released as she falls
Surrounded by cooling water
Her pain all slowly disappears
And so does she

Our Perfect Beach

Our Perfect Beach
By Lord R.e. Taylor

When we were little, we lived down at that beach
Playing games and running around and being friends
I even fell in love with you laying on the sand
And we shared our first of a million kisses in the waves
It always has been the most special place for you and me
Now finally, it is the perfect place for me to propose to you

You Are Special

You Are Special
By Lord R.e. Taylor

You have something about you
Could be a look or a talent people enjoy
Or it could be something you cannot see
But others cannot not notice
It is that which makes you you
A uniqueness only you have
A part of you that you should treasure
The same way everyone treasures you

Passing Seasons

Passing Seasons
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Another month has passed
A set number of days
Timed lived as it passed
Experiences made memories
Memories made to last forever
Maybe they will become stories we share
But we do have to say goodbye
Time keeps marching by
Even if we want it to stop for a time
There is a new month starting
With a whole new life to live
Loaded with new memories and stories
