Prisoner

Prisoner

Please do not look at me
Do not wipe away my tears
I am so pathetic
Tied and chained
Held as a pet by man
But, I am not a pet
I am a father
Two kids and a mate
Now, they are just a memory
Living in a forest so far away
We climbed and swung together
Ran across the jungle floor
We are always together
We were always a family
I was born to live free
In the world where God placed me
Others are still being trapped
Sold and traded as pets
Slaves to men who really don’t care
Tortured and chained for amusement
Someday someone will learn
They will free us
We will be allowed once again
To live, play and raise our young

The way we were meant to

Mother Nature

Mother Nature

You do not know who I am
I was created on the third day
I was to bring life to a barren world
Plants and animals for the land
Birds to fill the skies
Fishes in the churning seas
I made a paradise for man
Times have changed
Man no longer cares what I give them
They poison the air and water
They rape the land
Killing ancient trees and forests
Turning them into deserts
Still, I gave you air to breathe
I gave you fresh water to drink
I gave you good food to eat
You may have forgotten about me
So many, many lifetimes ago

But, I will never forget about you

She Will Create

She Will Create

Bring down the stars
Let the Moon’s light fade to blackness
The colors of so many planets
Both known and yet to be found
Take the color from the setting Sun
And again when the Sun rises in the east
Give the light and colors to one deserving
Let Mother Nature take them into her hands
She will have a paintbrush with but a single strand
One strand to paint the world
To make the planet beautiful
With colors and images unseen before
Colors of the Universe
Creating something new
A beauty that man could never see

She will create nature

My Man-Cave

My Man-Cave

There is a room
It is my room
A place where I can hide
Where the world does not exist
A place where women will not enter
It is my man-cave
Where I can read what I like
Think about the problems of the day
It is a place where I can fart
I have my books and newspapers
And the music from my FM radio
When I sit on my throne
I look at all of the paper which surrounds me
And I know that my life will be perfect

At least as long as the door is locked

A Blue Bird Watching The Sad People

A Blue Bird Watching The Sad People

Sky
Deep blue
Bluebirds fly
Through endless light
Watching the people
Rushing around their lives
Never noticing beauty
Only seeing unhappy lives
They should look they should see what they miss

See the beauty of the world before them

Mamma

Mamma

Mamma
I am not as big as you
I am trying, but the world is too big
You have not taught me what I need to know
I still need you
I want to be with you
Learn everything that you know
No matter how I try
I cannot keep up with you
But, I am not strong enough
I am not old enough to be alone
Life is just too hard for me
Please Mamma
Look back at me
See how I struggle to be like you
Come back to me
Help me take the next step

Help me to live

Alien's Children

Alien’s Children

They have come before
They flew in mighty ships
Gods who came from the skies
Planted us here
Watched as we grew
As we became who we are
They have seen us help each other
Watched as we destroyed ourselves
What do they think of what they created
Are they pleased or are they disappointed
Do we need to be punished
Just as we would punish a child
Or will they accept us for who we are
And love us as their children
When they return we will know
Maybe our gods will be friendly
Maybe we will be allowed to live
And maybe we will change
Into the world we should be

2016

2016

I remember
A lifetime ago
People weren’t sheep
They stood up
Demanded to be heard
When something was wrong
To be counted
To speak out
Some were arrested
Some were beaten
But still their voices were heard
They became American heroes
Legends in their own time
Now, the heroes are all gone
But, the sheep remain
Listening to the lies, hatred and corruption
Voting for a candidate without a question
Without asking why
Time has come again
To raise your voice
Carry a sign
March down the street
Demand to be heard
Fight to change the world
And don’t listen to those who take the podium
They will lie
Tell you what you want to hear
Just so they can be called president
Just listen to your heart

And never give up the fight
