Light And Dark Demons

Light And Dark Demons

Let the night come
I do not fear the darkness
The demons of the night don’t scare me
I have control of my thoughts and dreams
I decide if they live or die
And I decide how any battles end
But, when the sun rises
New demons arise from their graves
I fear them all with my life
I have no control over what happens
They do not depend on me for their lives
Their battles are more vicious than in the dark
So, I hide as best I can
Not wishing to come out into the open
But, I know that I am going to die
And I know that it will not be the night which kills me
I will die at the hands of the demons of daylight
With my last breath I will laugh
Because I know that I will forever be in darkness

A world which I control

A New Start

A New Start

Every instant of every second
The world we know dies
Every instant of every second
The world is reborn
Nothing really changes
Yet everything has the chance
If we all decide to make things better
Another instant is coming up
Just jump in and make a change
Make the new world better
After all every instant of every second

Is a brand new start

His Dream

His Dream
By R.e. Taylor

What does he have to do
He has lost so much
In a very little time
He dreams of people in his life
Some of whom he has never seen
He often wonders what are they like
Do they ever think of him
His dream is to take them on his knee
Telling them stories he heard as a boy
Or maybe spend just five minutes
Holding their hands and looking in their eyes
Just looking to see if they are happy
Then, as his smile slowly fades as he dies alone
He could remember their smiles

Just as the fates decreed on the day he was born

The Lone Leaf

The Lone Leaf

She knew that she was dying
At the age of eight she still had a life
She played and went to school everyday
Hanging out with her friends
None of whom knew anything
She always walked the same path
Past a tree her grandparents saw planted
During spring, summer, and autumn
The leaves inspired her to live
But the longer the time the sicker she became
Still she walked to school
Always looking at the massive
Autumn and winter had taken their toll
All of the leaves fell to the ground
All except for one
A leaf that watched for the girl
And danced in the breezes she walked by.
Then one day the girl didn’t come
Another day and another day with no girl
The leaf didn’t need to hear what had happened
It knew that the little girl it cared so much about
Would never be coming again
Sadly, it fell to the ground
No one noticed
No one cared
Still that leaf knew that, to one angel, it was important

And to it, that mattered.

Loss Of Humanity

Loss Of Humanity

When did the Sun go down
That day the darkness came
And never went away
People turned dark and cold
Uncaring for anyone but themselves
Eventually the stars died
And the moon turned black
And that was the moment humanity died
The world was worse off for its loss

But no one was left to care

A Universe Away

A Universe Away

He sits and looks around
All he sees is green
Going on forever
This is not his world
He does not belong there
His world is a universe away
Where leaves turn gold in September
Where January brings a blanket of snow
And the world is reborn in the warmth of March
He dreams of watching the seasons pass
Each bringing a world of its own
His world is too far away
But his memories keep him going
Hoping that he will see his home again
Waiting to see the colors, the snow and the rebirth
That is if they are all still there

Just a universe away

Understanding A Writer

Understanding A Writer

There is a blank piece of paper
One by one words are added
Do they make any sense?
To the writer they do
And he doesn’t care if anyone else sees it
The writer knows the story behind them
And all of the secrets sealed within
Somewhere and sometime
Someone will look at the messed-up words
The writer will not know when it happens
But it will be seen by a special person

And they will understand
