Moon-blessed Love

Moon-blessed Love
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Even in night’s fading light
Your beauty graces us
Silver light shines from you
Revealing hidden emotions
Allowing us to fall in love
And be one together forever

Murphy

Murphy
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Plans have been made
Working with ideas
Something to do
Somewhere to go
Days, weeks, and months
All look forward to do anything
But, Murphy won't allow it
He'll never let it happen
He doesn’t like having fun
Murphy's an ass

Jealousy

Jealousy
By Lord R.e. Taylor

I never expected what I saw
Her eyes flashed a deadly red
All I did was say hello to a friend
She saw something else
A mortal sin committed in innocence
Destroying her reason, releasing her jealousy
And nearly ending a world
All because I said hello

For Lack Of A Smile

For Lack Of A Smile
By Lord R.e. Taylor

It has been a long time
Far too long since anyone has seen a smile
You know that people still do it
But they are hidden away
So that no one ever sees them
Said it is to keep you safe
Ordered by people who really don’t know
We will wait as long as it takes
And someday, someone will flash a smile
Only then will the hell be over

He Took Her Hand

He Took Her Hand
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She lost her way long ago
Wandering without hope
She had no hope left
Until a man took her hand
She didn’t know He was there
She just felt comfort from His touch

Fear Of Aging

Fear Of Aging
By Lord R.e. Taylor

He was afraid of aging
Fears that he was losing himself
He still had treasured memories
But they were turning into ashes
Burning in flames he could not see
All he could see were places where he kept them
Empty and black for the first times ever
He could not mourn them though
Never remembering they ever existed
He never knew that, even though he was alive
He no longer had his life

The End Of The Book

The End Of The Book
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Word after word
The story grows
Constantly changing
Characters evolve
Becoming something new
Evil and good fight
Both winning and losing
Yet nothing can be settled
Not until the writer rests their pen
And the final draft is complete
Only then may the story be told

The Temptation Of Waterfalls

The Temptation Of Waterfalls
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The waterfall is so tempting
Such power and beauty
The roar of which endlessly echoes
Bouncing throughout the valley
The light mist blowing out from its base
Wrapping your body in coolness
The waterfall can make you want to live
But a part of you has different thoughts
Making you wonder what it would be like
Maybe just let go and jump into nothingness
Would this be the right place
Would it be good for your last moment
Either way the waterfall always inspires

Happily Ever After

Happily Ever After
By Lord R.e. Taylor

So long he lived alone
Not seeing his own home
It was nothing important
He saw no beauty whatsoever
Then he met her and fell in love
She saw his home and saw a palace
A place she knew came from fairy tales
When she fell in love, she became his princess
She made him her prince forever more
And they lived happily ever after

You Never Mattered

You Never Mattered
By Lord R.e. Taylor

You have every right to cry
The world has not been good to you
When you should have been playing
You saw the death of everyone you knew
It did not matter that you were there
No, they never cared about you
A little princess like you never mattered
You were just something in the way
Left to die like everyone else
So go ahead and cry as loud as you can
Let them know that you survived
Let them know that you will remember
And that you will be remembered

I Am Waiting

I Am Waiting
By Lord R.e. Taylor

You have been gone for so long
Every day and every night I wait
Watching the street to see you coming
My heart breaks without you
But I have hope to keep me alive
And my love to keep you with me

Her Eyes

Her Eyes
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Her eyes are so different
An enigma hidden in a mystery
Beautiful and lightening
As if she looks right through you
Learning your every secret
Your every lie and every truth
She will love you with her soul
Or dislike everything about you
That is just who she was born to be
So, beware your every move
And she may decide you are worthy
If she does you will never suffer
If not your life will be alone
It is all up to her
And you will have no choice
That is just who she is
A woman of love or a demon of hate
But she is a woman in her heart
She’s someone worth knowing either way
She is a true woman and who could ask for more

Walking The Rails

Walking The Rails
By Lord R.e. Taylor

So long ago
People rode the rails
Hiding in boxcars
Or riding on their tops
Today people still travel the rails
Not running from detectives
While jumping the freights
But so many more miles are covered
Walking in between the steel rails
On wood laid decades ago
Instead of transportation
People do it just for the fun
And to look at the beauty the tracks offer

Evil In The Night

Evil In The Night
By Lord R.e. Taylor

One night
Sometime in your future
Maybe tonight
Or a lifetime from now
Your every fear will appear
Torturing your soul
Turning your world around
Making you forget happiness
But you need not fear
The sun will always rise
The evil will disappear
Only to rise another night

An Island Getaway

An Island Getaway
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Finding a deserted island
Not too far away
Just far away, though
No people meaning no noise
No buildings to block the view
Only a beach and a few trees
And a whole bunch of peace and quiet
It could be the perfect place to hide away
For an hour, a day, or forever
It’s all up to you

Emotional Prisoner

Emotional Prisoner
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She has never showed her feelings
Keeping them hidden from the world
Preferring to be alone
Isolated from everyone she knows
She cries the cries no one will hear
Tears fall on a cheek only she knows
A prisoner of her own emotions

Being Happy

Being Happy
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Children are perfect creatures
They do not understand hatred
Differences are never seen
All a child wants to do is live life
Make as many friends as they can
After all…there is nothing wrong with being happy
