Tiny Birds

Tiny Birds
By Lord R.e. Taylor

I can hear you wings
Flittering through the leaves
Flashes of red between the green
And your soft song echoing in the air
You do make me wonder
Why do you always fly so low
Don't you wonder about the treetops
The highest branches you can see
Aren't you curious about the sky above
Or are you happy in your own little world
Without ever knowing what you are missing

His Golden Angel

His Golden Angel
By Lord R.e. Taylor

He knew her forever
Saw her in his thoughts and dreams
Always thinking she was perfect
A living piece of art
Carved from the finest ivory
Painted by a master artist
But he never saw her as stone or paint
She was covered in the purest gold
Flawless and beautiful
Just the kind of art he could admire
A perfect golden angel

The Shell Of Lady Liberty

The Shell Of Lady Liberty
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The world’s liberties are dying
Human rights are rotting in the trees
Maybe no one can see what’s happening
Or maybe they just do not care
Either way it is a damn shame
It should be criminal to be ignorant
Time has come for everyone to learn
To realize what the few are doing
Take the world back from the brink
And make Lady Liberty stand proud again
Instead of what she has become now
Just the empty shell of all lost hopes
And the promises which she always stood for

Your Ageless Beauty

Your Ageless Beauty
By Lord R.e. Taylor

No one knows your age
That is your very own secret
Now, there is a lot of talk about you
The beauty you were before
Some do not like your looks now
The say that you are old and ugly
Worn out and worthless
With ugly stains and wrinkles
But, I see behind all the trash they say
You already had the perfect beauty
Age has made you so much better
One of a kind with no equal
So, if you do not mind, I will admire you
And the ravishing beauty you have become

Travelling Through Realities

Travelling Through Realities

By Lord R.e. Taylor

So many worlds
In so many universes
In infinite realities
Some are paradises
Others are barren deserts
Still others cannot support life
All survive and orbit their stars
They exist because someone created them
Some wrote everything about them
Told their many stories
And created creatures which we understood
Those planets all still exist
All you have to do is open a book
It is all there for you to read
Just take the time and make the trip
You won’t regret it

A Universal Process

A Universal Process
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The sunshine follows the moonlight
A universal procedure
Created billions of years ago
It is so simple in its perfection
Nobody wanted to change it
So, it will continue forever
Because there is nothing better

Without You

Without You
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Together for years
Never a minute apart
But time took its toll
Illness took you away
Now I cannot know
How to be without you

We Are Pissed

We Are Pissed
By Lord R.e. Taylor

It really pisses us off
You think we don’t know
We know more than you do
You were the last to be created
So, you are the real animals here
Destroying the world around you
And yet we let you remain here
But that will be coming to an end
We will make sure that you are gone
And that we are the ones left behind
Maybe then the planet can survive
As long as you are all gone

Imperfect Me

Imperfect Me
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Someday I will no longer be here
I hope people get together
If they do not…no big deal
You can make fun of me all you want
Just do not praise me
And do not condemn me
I was just a man, no more no less
Just imperfect me

Tribute To Meat Loaf

Tribute To Meat Loaf
By Lord R.e. Taylor

For more than forty years
He made his life about one thing
Taking us to Hell and bringing us back
And getting us to enjoy the trip
Songs that gave us a new look at the shadows
Showing us what hid deep inside
Sharing the truth about love and life
All while we sang every song with him
Now God has opened His gates
All to welcome a man who was almost a God
A man who we will miss with our hearts and souls
A man who will always be ‘A Bat Out Of Hell’

The Emperor

The Emperor
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The emperor stands over his land
Watching the peace before him
He never demands obedience
Never demands loyalty
He is just there to care for his citizens
His citizens show him their love
And the land becomes stronger
Just because of who he is

An Empty Playground

An Empty Playground
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The playground is busy all day
Children screaming and laughing
Never walking anywhere
Always running at full speed
Moms try but they are too slow
But the Sun goes down
And the moms drag their kids home
After all it’s past their bedtime
The playground becomes a desert
No life and just breezes blowing through
And echoes of a million giggles
In the morning the playground still there
Waiting for the children to again come
And the playground will smile
Its cycle begins again and more children can play

The Bluebird’s Song

The Bluebird’s Song
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Just far enough away from everything
The sounds of civilization are far behind
Not even a radio station plays there
Only bluebird song fills the air

The Sun Rose

The Sun Rose
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The Sun rose again
It was not the shining star
There was no warmth
It was just a grey, cold ball
People came out and stared
Some broke down and wept
Others never noticed
They carried the sunlight with them
Keeping it in their heart and soul
But they are willing to share
And you don’t even have to ask.

Big Sister

Big Sister
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Big sisters wait for you to come
They want to show you special things
Magical things only they can do
Treasure your sister because she loves you

A Viking Death

A Viking Death
By Lord R.e. Taylor

For sure he lived a noble life
Defending his homeland
Raising his family as he should
And generally being a good man
That one night he went away
Supposed to only be a few days
As always, he fought well
Killing many men who wanted to kill him
It only took a second or two
Four arrows entered his body
And went straight into his soul
Angels from his goddess, Freya, came to welcome him
And to take his soul to Ásgarðr
Where he can celebrate thy life, he lost
Remember the battles he had won
And morn the loved ones he left behind
The only way a Viking can die

Some People

Some People
By Lord R.e. Taylor

What have some people been doing
Chasing innocent people
Those of us with normal feelings
We are being forced to hide
Being told if we use their minds
Ignoring everything we are told
That we will no longer exist
But some of those people are really cowards
With no power to show anyone
So, think what you want and do the same
Laugh at what is funny
Feel free to speak out
Then tell them to kiss your ass
And just watch how fast they run

Open Beauty

Open Beauty
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Sometimes, somewhere
A beauty is created
A beauty never seen before
It could be a natural painting
Or a sculpture created alone
But we are the ones who benefit
The ones who see the miracles
The ones who love nature
And the ones who will protect them

She Became Who She Was

She Became Who She Was
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She made her choice
It was long after childhood
She found that nine to five would not work
She learned how to paint
Writing poetry came easy to her
She found that creation was perfect for her
It became who she was

I Am An Ass

I Am An Ass
By Lord R.e. Taylor

You may not know me
Maybe you do not want to
I am not quite normal
Not what you would expect
I am really quite strange
If you ask anyone who knows me
They would all agree
They also feel free to call me names
I have been called a smart ass
I have been called a dumb ass
But just to let you know
I am neither one of those
I am just an ass, pure and simple
Not dumb and not smart
Like it or not, I am just me…an ass

He Keeps Waiting

He Keeps Waiting
By Lord R.e. Taylor

He has been waiting so long
Watching time pass him by
Not liking what came before
Unhappy with what may come
But he cannot do anything
So, he just sits and he waits
And waits and waits and waits

We Don’t Lose

We Don’t Lose
By Lord R.e. Taylor

More than a hundred years
Death has been waiting
He patiently watched
So many diseases came and went
But there was no extinction
Finally, the time came
He watched while we fought
We never ever gave up
In the end we are winning
And Death will have to wait some more
Maybe he'll be luckier in 2120
But probably not
We do not like to lose

He Played Her Song

He Played Her Song
By Lord R.e. Taylor

He played her that song on that day
She was born barely alive
After that he performed it every day
It was never played before an audience
That was a special gift between them
Even when he died with her at his side
She could hear the song playing in her ears
The day when she finally died
She wore her father’s favorite evening gown
And he played his song for her one more time
It was his way of saying that she was home

Boyhood

Boyhood
By Lord R.e. Taylor

He was a boy
Just a normal boy
Full of fun
A touch of mischief
And a bit of sass
Modern times killed him
And ruined boyhood forever

The Space Between Us

The Space Between Us
By Lord R.e. Taylor

I know the chasm is wide
We knew it when we met
Still, we fell in love with each other
As one we will overcome the distance
Our dreams and wishes will build a bridge
We will be together for the rest of our lives
All it will take is our love

Wide Awake Jingle Bells

Wide Awake Jingle Bells
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Jingle Bells
Woke people smell
They all just need to get laid
All ignore what they say
No one is allowed any fun
They shout out of their bum
But no matter how hard we pray
They are never going to go away
So, we will just have to ignore
And drown them out with our snores
Once we get them on the run
Then our work will be done
And Jingle Bells will ring again

Still Happy

Still Happy
By Lord R.e. Taylor

He saw the girl
Stopping in front of him
He looked at her
She looked at him
He asked her what she knew
Without saying a single word
She simply smiled and walked away
He never learned the answer
But it never mattered
It just was not that important
He was still a happy man

Waiting

Waiting

By Lord R.e. Taylor

They met so long ago
Different types of people
They quickly fell in love
Marriage came within weeks
Sadly, their family never came
She died one night in her love’s arms
Their love was too strong
Neither death nor Heaven could hold her
She stays with her first love
Watching over him and keeping him safe
Waiting for him to join her
So, they can be happy once again
