A Bouquet Of Carcasses

A Bouquet Of Carcasses
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I must truly, really love you
I know how much roses mean to you
They are the best sign of love there is
So, I will empty my wallet
And you will get the carcasses you love
Just remember that they DID die for you

Only One

Only One
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I cannot believe it
How could they be so stupid
It was always going to happen
Everyone knew it just had to
It may have been silly to think so
But there was always hope
Maybe the old men would quit yelling
Threatening each other over nothing
The thing was no one would stop and think
They had no idea what would happen
Or maybe it was they just didn’t care
Either way only one is left to remember
Only one is left to worry about the Human race
Only one left to mourn

A New Insanity

A New Insanity
by Lord R.e. Taylor

So many thoughts at the same time
Terrifying and confusing
They never began and never will stop
A new kind of insanity
One which may never be cured

You

You
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I have known you forever
Our lives became one life
My heart is only yours
Well beyond my last breath
I will always love you

Fantasia

Fantasia
by Lord R.e. Taylor

A vicious war ruled the world
Many movies were just propaganda
Telling the world what to think or feel
One movie never used a single word
Yet its eight stories were told
Everyone knew what was happening
And what the artists intended
True, Fantasia did not grow as intended
Changing its vision every few years
It took nearly sixty years to return
And the power of musical stories remained

Haight-Ashbury

Haight-Ashbury
by Lord R.e. Taylor

They were magical moments
Just knowing where you were
Feeling the history all around you
The voices of Jim, Janis, and Jimi
Still echo through the streets
Coming from shops where they lived
As long as Haight-Ashbury exist
Their footsteps will still be heard
Leading a generation which will never die

Too Much

Too Much
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Way too many people
Too much noise
Everything too close
Sadly, I need room

A Rare Moment Alone

A Rare Moment Alone
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Eighteen hours a day, seven days a week
Spent with friends, family, and co-workers
Peace and quiet cannot exist in his world
Every once in a great while a miracle happens
Walking home on a water covered street
He takes his time in a rare moment alone

The World Needs Me

The World Needs Me
by Lord R.e. Taylor

You may have never seen me
But be sure that I am always there
Know that I will not allow anything to happen
Watching you and everything you do
Doing my best to keep you safe
Protecting all my children who live here
Guarding the forest which is my home
That my friends is why I was created
I will always take this job seriously
Because the world will always need me

Drunken Visions

Drunken Visions
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I will never forget
A few too many drinks
Reality disappears
Colours swirl
My world is gone
Finally, the visions fade
Blackness surrounds me
In the morning reality returns
Along with a killer headache
I think I need another drink

A Different Life

A Different Life
by Lord R.e. Taylor

So many need all-night parties and drinks
Their bodies crave the adrenaline
They cannot survive without it
Sara was just like that when she was young
But now a book and silence fill her world
Making her body and soul much happier

Beauty In Hell

Beauty In Hell
by Lord R.e. Taylor

She rejoiced when the rain began
Her animals and plants would live
That night Heaven’s dam broke
Gallon after gallon fell
Nothing and no one was left
Their lives were all gone
Yet, when the waters began receding
Only one body was ever found
A beauty untouched by the Hell she had been through
Even in death she gave survivors some hope
She proved that, even in Hell,
At least some beauty will always remain

Mayhem And Confusion

Mayhem And Confusion
by Lord R.e. Taylor

So much in the world amazes
Just the sight makes you think
Others just make you question
What is real out there
Why are things the way they are
We cannot ever figure them out
Why is there thunder without clouds
Why were platypuses ever created
And why are there so many lonely shoes
It is so sad we will never know
But that is how the world was made
Filled with mayhem and confusion
Just the way we like it
