Inhumane Humans

Inhumane Humans
by Lord R.e. Taylor

You think we are all dumb animals
That could not be less true
We know what is going on with you
We watch what you do to each other
We listen to what you say
You all hate each other
Working out new ways to kill
Yes, we may fight but we rarely kill
Someone always runs away
You are supposed to be the alpha species
But you are really just an embarrassment
No longer human
No longer humane
So please grow up and behave yourself
Before the future decides for you

Beauty Of A Hidden World

Beauty Of A Hidden World
by Lord R.e. Taylor

You can row for many miles
Hopefully, live many years
Surely you will miss the secrets
The gods were always tricky and cruel
Hiding special things just out of reach
Or maybe even out of sight
But, if you take your time living
Looking around where you would never look
Seeing the magical world hidden from you
It is truly more beautiful than you could ever imagine

Just Imagine

Just Imagine
by Lord R.e. Taylor

If you could imagine
All the places you would go
The things you would do
And the people you would see
All without ever leaving home

Unhidden

Unhidden
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Sometimes you have to shed reality
Just leave the world behind
No roles and no costumes
Just you completely unhidden
Nothing to shelter you any longer
So, show pride in who you are
Even if that means you are by yourself

Destruction

Destruction
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Homo sapiens have ruled the world for a long time
Ruining every piece of land they touched
Killing animals for any reason they could think of
Driving most into a total extinction
They destroyed the environment
Trees, air, water and natural resources
They did not escape their touch
Even the vastness of the world’s oceans weren’t untouched
Oil slicks and massive islands of garbage cover the surface
Plastic pop bottles float across the bottom
Taking four hundred and fifty years to decompose
One thing about the homo sapiens which came so long ago
They love leaving their prints on everything they destroyed
That is just the way we are

A Different World

A Different World
by Lord R.e. Taylor

It may be a different world
But it was not that long ago
Less than sixty years
The world was not just black and white
Not even just shades of grey
The thing was despite what was wrong
The world was full of colour and hope
People took drugs and spoke of love
But times have changed drastically
All of the colours and hope have gone
The drugs have become deadlier
And love no longer exists
This world is now the different world
Sadly, it may never survive this time

Forever Love

Forever Love
by Lord R.e. Taylor

They have never spoken
Never met or even seen each other
Still, the universe can see it
It had been decided an eternity ago
These two lonely hearts will find each other
There will be a forever love
And all life will be a little better because of it

Losing You

Losing You
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I do not know how or when it happened
One day you were here and the next you weren’t
No letter or phone call explaining why
All I had left was an empty space in my heart
Your funeral was as beautiful as you ever were
Even there and then all I could say is I love you

An Impossible Possibility

An Impossible Possibility
by Lord R.e. Taylor

You weren’t expected
So many years
Millions of white tulips
But there were always rumours
Talking about something different
An impossible possibility
Opposite of all which came before
But one day you appeared
Shining in the Springtime sun
And at that moments you gave us hope
It is really okay to be different
As long as you know how to be you
You have to put on a show being you
Making sure that you are remembered

Evergreen Forest?

Evergreen Forest?

By Lord R.e. Taylor

Even nature knows
It is great to be different
In a forest of mighty evergreens
There are maybe just one or two
Who will not listen
Flashes of golden yellow
Created just as a statement
Of a different beauty
