Consequences

Consequences
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I do not care what I do
What could happen
How will it affect others
Not my problem
I just want to have fun
That is all that matters
Worry about consequences later
After all, if things go right
I will probably not be here to see them

Everyone Has A Story

Everyone Has A Story
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Grandpa, you have no idea how much I miss you
Sitting on the floor at your feet
Listening to all of you amazing stories
Your hunting polar bear using tears as bullets
How you met Grandma while riding the bus
The way life was in that small Pennsylvania town
But, please Grandpa know that I listened to every word
I will tell my children and grandchildren all of them
And through them you will live forever

Purgatory

Purgatory
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I felt my last heartbeat
Took my last breath
Then the scream came
My soul no longer belonged to me
Wearing her black robes
She lowered herself from her horse
The Banshee came to collect me
She never spoke, not a single word
But I knew that I had to go
Where I had to go was her decision
She dumped me at the door to the afterlife
I heard family and friends calling from above
Family and friends calling from below
She left me to rot in the land of Purgatory
Her decision and her law without appeal
So, I guess I found my new home
At least for all eternity

Too Much BS

Too Much BS
by Lord R.e. Taylor

You live in a democracy
Every so often the filters go down
No matter who the person is
It doesn’t matter how much you respect them
The BS doesn’t need to sneak through
It comes out with every word
They won’t say anything that is true
Even fact-checkers cry when they hear it all
But all the BS has to stop sometime
Well at least for the next four years

Her Window

Her Window
by Lord R.e.Taylor

I knew that old woman
The one you lived behind the window
Every morning she would give me a cookie
I would chow it down while she watered her plants
Now those curtains never open
She is gone but that window, it was her life

“Your” Creations

“Your” Creations
by Lord R.e. Taylor

It used to be a challenge
Trying to be creative
But those days are sadly gone
Now it may take a little talent
A few minutes of time
And the right computer program
With just the right keystrokes
You can be an artist, a poet, or even an author
Or maybe you can be all three
Remember though, your creations will not be yours
They will always belong to a computer chip
Shared with millions of other “creative people”
Each one “thinks” they are an artist, poet, or author on their own
But all are just pretenders not the same as you
No matter how many keys they press

Taking The Tractor

Taking The Tractor
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Taking the tractor without permission
He knew it would be trouble
Driving too fast
Luckily he was not hurt
But his dad WILL be pissed

The Book Lady

The Book Lady
by Lord R.e. Taylor

She has seen millions of books
Reading every one of them
Now, she shares her experiences
Showing you the way to new worlds
So, don’t just stop by
Take your time and enjoy all of her history

After I Am Gone

After I Am Gone
by Lord R.e. Taylor

After I am gone
I want no tears
Just laughter
Some Jack Daniels
But not a single tear
Understand!
