Nature’s Beat

Nature’s Beat
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Rain falls
Playing music
On umbrellas
On the ground
Nature’s rhythmic beat

I Will Be There

I Will Be There
By Lord R.e. Taylor

I can feel your fears building inside of you
The sound of your cries is all I can hear
I need you to know that I am still here
Heaven knows how much you mean to me
So, no matter how long we are apart
My love will always be there to protect you

Love’s Lost Poetry

Love’s Lost Poetry
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Every poet has secrets
Loving words written
But will never be seen
Written as a symbol of love
For a special person in their life
They may be long gone
Taken away by time unforgiving
They may be next to them
Sharing their lives and their love
The words are ones not to be shared
Poetry locked away in antique chests
Only known to a few old pieces of paper

Eternity Never Comes

Eternity Never Comes
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She left so long ago
A promise was made
She would return one day
Never saying when
Just sometime in eternity
The nights come and go
With cool air and fog
But she never arrives
Eternity never comes

Never so young
One step
Gone forever

Changing A Colour

Changing A Colour
By Lord R.e. Taylor

A colour is quickly dying
The world does not fear it
Many simply will hate it
Even more just laugh at it
It was the one chosen by many
It has hurt so many over time
Many more to come soon
The colour must be muted
Morphed into an entirely different hue
Only then the world will be better
The pain we all feel will stop
And hopefully we will survive

Dedicated to the winners

Treasures On The Beach

Treasures On The Beach
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Two steps may not be enough
One step may be too many
Shiny treasures across the beach
A bit of luck
And treasure will be yours
