Are We Alone?

Have you seen the world beyond
Do you think they have seen us
The universe is a magical place
It can be anything we want it to be
An endless, lifeless vacuum
A place filled with life
Maybe there will be some like us
Maybe so more advanced
Some may not be as smart as we are
It does not matter to the universe
Only your hopes of other lives matter
And the hope that someday we may be worthy
But if they are either friends or enemies
We will no longer be alone
And that will be worth celebrating
