Autumn

Autumn

The world is changing
At least your little part
It will not change your life
And it will not take long
Just a month or two
The green you knew
The warm breezes
And the flowers of the garden
They will all be happy memories
The ambers, golds and oranges
The colours of the leaves on the ground
A cool wind at your bedroom window
The pumpkins on everyone’s porches
And the ever-present threat of snow
Autumn has come and it is going to stay
It will be there only a short time
But the warm sun will be back
And it will only take six months
All you have to do is wait
