Being All
Alone
By R.e.
Taylor
He has
been alone for so long
Everyone he
knew went away
No phone
calls or messages
Not even
anyone to share a beer
He had no
where to go
And no one
to love
It took a
long time
He watched
as his mind began to go
Memories were
replaced by thoughts
They were
thoughts he didn’t want to have
But they
made so much sense to him
They became
more frequent and stronger
One day he
could take them no more
A short
walk down to his favorite memory
He walked
to the dock where he used to fish
So many
days with his father
Laughing and
talking while they just sat together
The Blood
Moon said that the time had come
He took
one more step and he was gone
