She Fought The War

She Fought The War
By Lord R.e. Taylor

She was such a happy little girl
Playing with her friends
Long red hair flowing in the air
Curls, ponytails, and pigtails
She had her whole life ahead
Then a bad time came
Her life changed as the disease took over
She lost her health and her energy
Her hair all fell out because of a cure
And she almost gave up
But her heart roared within
And her spirit became stronger
She fought so many battles
Some were nearly too much
However, the war was not over for her
Finally, the disease gave up
Beaten by a woman of strength
To this day she lives, and she fights
Hoping others will never
Face the battles she faced
Or fight the war she had to face
