A Brand-New Woman

You were always a colorful girl
Tie dyed shorts and flowered tops
Always finding new ways to not fit in
You made one final trip to the chemist
Fifty dollars and ten boxes of hair dye
And, after the longest day ever
Then a new you was created
More colorful and more beautiful
A brand-new woman for a brand-new world
