Nature’s Church

Nature’s Church
by Lord R.e. Taylor

A beautiful place
On a warm spring day
Gentle, cool breezes
It is a place for the soul
Nature’s church
Created by a loving God

Being Strange

Being Strange
by Lord R.e. Taylor

What good does it do
Trying to fit in
Knowing that you can't
Yet not knowing why
You may be strange
Or maybe just too different
It doesn't really matter
Just be the strangest you can be
And tell everyone else to kiss your a@@
But make sure you smile when you do

Fly Free

Fly Free
by Lord R.e. Taylor

I have the key
Too long you have been hidden
You will be locked up no longer
So fly free my friends
Share your knowledge
Tell your stories
You have the right to live

A Special Place

A Special Place
by Lord R.e. Taylor

This is the place you have been looking for
Just  close your eyes for a minute
Smell the scents from so many flowers
Let your mind see the flicker of ancient lights
And listen to the sounds of life centuries old
Sadly, they can only be in your heart and mind
Time has taken hold of the beautiful court
Aged it but never touched its beauty
So, it will be there for all eternity
Just as it will always be with you

Letter To Burn, Whiskey To Drown In

Letter To Burn, Whiskey To Drown In
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Every day we shared notes and letters
We talked about our lives and our love
But we had secrets we never spoke of
A strange illness ravishing your body
So much pain and even more suffering
It was a blessing the instant you went away
Even so my heart died before I knew it
Yes, I did try and read your letters
Every one of them but one
I could not even look at the words when you said goodbye
My eyes were crying too much
Still, I knew that one letter would never be seen
It was just a small fire but in less than a minute
That letter was long gone and forgotten
A bottle of whiskey finished off the pain
And, in the end, that was all I needed

Love Under The Flower Moon

Love Under The Flower Moon
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Blessed goddess Selene
Thank you for the gift of your moon
It will be under your light
I will profess my love
A love which began at my birth
Growing throughout my lifetime
I think I always knew who she was
And I knew my life was all hers
But you knew when the moment would be right
It was to be the night of the Flower Moon
So, Blessed Selene if you could bless a poor man
Pause the Moon at its most beautiful point
And give me the chance I have dreamed about
Let me see her smiling lips
Just before our very first kiss
Under the beauty of your precious Moon

You Be You

You Be You
by Lord R.e. Taylor

You were never boring
Always living your own way
Never trying to be safe
Screw life and death
You don’t worry about them
As long as you are being you
Doing whatever you want
Whenever you want
You always push the limits
That has always been you
And we love you for it

My True Reality

My True Reality
by Lord R.e. Taylor

My mind may never be perfect
I may not see your true reality
But I do see a strange beauty no one else does
To me, my love, that is the only true reality
Honestly, I wish I could share it with you

A Magical Tribute

A Magical Tribute
by Lord R.e. Taylor

No one knows how long ago it was
We can never know who made it
But someone immortalized a creature
A creature we consider a myth
But then it was a living being
A mighty black dragon
The proudest creature ever created
Remembered a million years later
Found in a chunk of blue stone
Left to prove that magic once existed
And make us wonder if it still does

When We Grew Up

When We Grew Up
by Lord R.e. Taylor

We grew up different
Walking to school every day
No riding on warm busses
Rain, wind or scorching sun
We walked every day
Even through three feet of snow
It was the way we had to live
Making us the who we are today
Proud, strong and ready to face life
And anything it will send to us

Death Of Whales

 Death Of Whales

by Lord R.e. Taylor

They have been here before humans

Swimming the oceans

Majestic and regal

Creatures chosen to rule the sea

But man came to life one day

Killed for their oil and meat

And killed for superstitions

Almost extinct they fought back

Man would not stop the killing

Always creating new ways to murder

No life matters except for man

So their bodies clutter the beaches

Killed for no reason

Just the way man always wanted it

Your Mother’s Love

Your Mother’s Love
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Your mother left long ago
Going to Heaven when you were born
But she loves you for all eternity
She knew she could never say it
So she left you her last kiss
Sealed in a box for the time you were ready
Now that time has come
And you know that she is smiling in Heaven
Now that she has shared her love
