Memories Of A Covered Wagon

Memories Of A Covered Wagon
by Lord R.e. Taylor

Sometimes it is so sad
Time endlessly marches on
Changing things as it go
Even things which were important to life
They are just long gone
But the stories remain centuries later
Tales of cross-country journeys
Lines of a hundred covered wagons
Loaded with hopeful people
All looking for a new start in the west
Even with the dangers of robbers and Indians
The ones who fought back found a new home
And the new country grew because of them
Some memories are important to remember
Even if we never have the chance to see them again
