Sunset

On west facing beaches
Thousands of people gather
Watching a nightly event
An artistic display
Beautiful and pleasing
As the Sun fades away
The sight is also unnerving
It marks a death
The end of possibly a nice day
So, go ahead and cheer
But also shed a tear
The day has ended
Making room for a tomorrow
And a new hope
For thousands of people
Standing on a west facing beach
Celebrating a universal beauty
