She Tried


She Tried

He must have known what He was doing 
Sending you down to watch over His children
It must have been a very long time ago
Back when the world was very different 
People accepted His wisdom
And they knew how to love each other
Sadly, times have changed over the years
The job you were sent to perform
It became harder and harder as time passed
So, it is totally understandable to do what you did
You cannot be blamed for hiding your head and crying
And someday He may take you back into Heaven
Because you tried harder that anyone should
His children refused to listen to His word
And that was just not your fault
