Kids Should Be Kids

It has been too long
Far too long
Years of keeping safe
Making sure to stay clean
And eighteen months locked away
Now they are allowed to be free
Finally released from prison
So forget whatever you learned
Kids need to not be safe
At least not all of the time
They never need to be clean
They only need one thing to be happy
Kids need to be kids
That’s all, just let them enjoy life
They will love you for it
