My Life Alone

It was far too short a time
Our love began on the first day
The brightest light ever seen
But every light has to fade
Turning into the darkest dark
I know there will always be a spark
Floating just beyond reach
It is still reminding me of us
The constant love we shared
And how it all changed one day
When you went somewhere
I never knew where you ended up
But I'll spend the rest of my life alone
Crying and dreaming of a life long gone
