Waiting In Heaven

I never thought about it
What would my life be
I thought it would be good
Your smile told me so
I saw your love in your eyes
And heard your heart in your voice
But that was a lifetime ago
I can see you in my dreams
My heart is still open to you
However, your smile eludes me
I would give anything to see that again
Just know that if I have to
I would stand at the gates of Heaven
Just for a small chance to love you again
