A Magical Tribute

A Magical Tribute

by Lord R.e. Taylor

No one knows how long ago it was

We can never know who made it

But someone immortalized a creature

A creature we consider a myth

But then it was a living being

A mighty black dragon

The proudest creature ever created

Remembered a million years later

Found in a chunk of blue stone

Left to prove that magic once existed

And make us wonder if it still does

When We Grew Up

When We Grew Up

by Lord R.e. Taylor

We grew up different

Walking to school every day

No riding on warm busses

Rain, wind or scorching sun

We walked every day

Even through three feet of snow

It was the way we had to live

Making us the who we are today

Proud, strong and ready to face life

And anything it will send to us

Death Of Whales

 Death Of Whales

by Lord R.e. Taylor

They have been here before humans

Swimming the oceans

Majestic and regal

Creatures chosen to rule the sea

But man came to life one day

Killed for their oil and meat

And killed for superstitions

Almost extinct they fought back

Man would not stop the killing

Always creating new ways to murder

No life matters except for man

So their bodies clutter the beaches

Killed for no reason

Just the way man always wanted it

Your Mother’s Love

Your Mother’s Love

by Lord R.e. Taylor

Your mother left long ago

Going to Heaven when you were born

But she loves you for all eternity

She knew she could never say it

So she left you her last kiss

Sealed in a box for the time you were ready

Now that time has come

And you know that she is smiling in Heaven

Now that she has shared her love

Little Ones Are Too Cute

Little Ones Are Too Cute

by Lord R.e. Taylor

God created babies for one reason

And He knew exactly what He was doing

He made each and every one them

Human or animals they are all cute

They can never do wrong

All they do is make us smile

They are way too cute for anything else

That Beer Shampoo

That Beer Shampoo

by Lord R.e. Taylor

How many years ago was it?

Almost fifty I think

I can still smell that shampoo

Made from beer it was hard to forget

But, for me, it will always meant you

Now, when it is in my memories

It makes me remember us

And the love we once shared

Your Eyes

Your Eyes

by Lord R.e. Taylor

Ever since we met

Your eyes have haunted me

Never have I seen such beauty

Now, I cannot get them out of my mind

Everywhere I look I see you looking at me

I can see the love in your heart

And I know how much I love you
