Hey, old black fellah
I see history in your eyes
Fifty thousand years of your people
May I sit down next to you
I wish to hear your stories
Tell me of the Lost Generation
The bigotry your people have faced
The massacres when the Europeans first came
The final acceptance of your people
Into the newly formed Australia
Tell me of your myths and legends
Tell me of your Dreamtime
I want to know more about you
I want to know your people
Please allow me to sit with you
Let us talk
