Cajun Pride

Cajun Pride

Remembering an autumn day
Floating down the river
Where all his tensions flow away
And the days just become a blur

The current is always so mellow
And the shore is beauty beyond compare
Lined by age old weeping willows
It is the answer to a river boy’s prayer

The bayou is a special place
Full of stories old
Told slowly and never apace
They are thing the river boy will always hold

As he floats beyond the oldest willow
He looks into the heavens
And he sees his grandpa laying on his pillow

And he remembers his pride in being Cajun
