New
Year Prayers

She
watched the new year come in
Celebrations
around the world
From
New York to Perth
And
back again
Every
time the clock struck twelve
Another
of her prayers was answered
No
one was hurt or killed by terror
At
least for that one single moment
Everyone
all around the world got along
In
the morning she awoke to a new day
And
for once she was happy
As
she looked into the sky
And
she knew that everyone in the world
Was
sharing that day with her
