The Way We Learned

The Way We Learned

When I was 12 years old
We could not see porn
We did not have the internet
We needed to read Playboy
Through its pages
We learned about women
About what they liked
What they didn’t like
And what their boobies looked like
Our friends stole them from their fathers
Sometimes we snuck into bookstores
And we’d hide between the shelves
Just to look at the centerfolds
But every month there was a new girl
She was always sweet and innocent
And someone we fell in love with
However, that was a lifetime ago
Our need for the girls of Playboy died
But those beauties will never be forgotten
And their centerfolds will never leave our attics
