My Gift From God



My Gift From God
 
I knew you were an angel
An answer to my prayers
Sent down from Heaven
To love a lonely man
I never knew what you had to give up
The sacrifice God required from you
The moment when you gave up your wings
I knew then that we were meant to be
You will always be an angel to me
Blessed by Heaven and shared with me
For that I will always thank God
Because He gave me his best
And I am eternally grateful to Him
