Endless Ticking

Endless Ticking
By R.e. Taylor

Why doesn't the clock stop
It doesn’t matter how I am doing
If I am tired, drunk, or running late
It just keeps on ticking
Almost as if it can see me
And its tick-toc is it laughing at me
Laughing and cursing is all you hear
The thing is, I heard that man invented time
I cannot imagine why he would do that
Unless he had nowhere to go
And needed to find something to do
Something to fill the time
