I Just Got Paid



I Just Got Paid

I got paid today
From a job I can’t stand
It wasn’t nearly enough
But it really never is
No paying the rent
The electric or gas
And surely no food
I do have enough for necessities
Just enough to hit the bar
I can get some women
Quite a bit of beer
And a pocket full of pot
Not be responsible for what I do
God has provided again
Everything I’ll ever need
Nothing more, nothing left
