Son Of Every Son

I am the son of thousands of sons

Each sharing part of themselves

Building blocks which created me

Slaves and slave holders

Soldiers fighting bloody wars

And peacemakers getting the wars to stop

I am part of so many sons

Rich and poor

Royalty and peasant

White, black, brown, and yellow

They are all parts of me

They are all parts of all of us
