One Last Memory

One Last Memory
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The bottle opened at noon
My memories were from my life
Each one more painful than the last
One shot after another after another
Hoping they would help me forget
One after another the memories died
Too bad the bottle was not big enough
It left one thought hiding in my mind
The moment you closed the door
And you left my life forever
So, I will drink, and I will cry until it fades
But, there could never be ample whiskey
Lynchburg could not make enough
For me to lose that one
