For more than forty years
He made his life about one thing
Taking us to Hell and bringing us back
And getting us to enjoy the trip
Songs that gave us a new look at the shadows
Showing us what hid deep inside
Sharing the truth about love and life
All while we sang every song with him
Now God has opened His gates
All to welcome a man who was almost a God
A man who we will miss with our hearts and souls
A man who will always be ‘A Bat Out Of Hell’
