We Should Listen

There is so much we don't know
Stories our grandparents told
But we were young and wild
And old people just rambled on
All we did was everything but listen
So, the stories all passed unheard
Then our grandparents also passed
Now, those stories can never be told again
A loss for all of us and those in the future
Just because we never listened
