Summer’s Death

Summer’s Death
by Lord R.e. Taylor

If you listen to the world
You may hear a weakening heartbeat
It is still rhythmic and almost musical
But it is softer than it has been in a while
Yes, you know what that means
Summer is beginning to give up its life
However, it is a great mistake to mourn
You still have a few days left
Party, swim, do whatever you like
Soon, that heartbeat will stop
The leaves and flowers will die
And the endless snow will come
But do not allow yourself to be sad
In nine months, the heartbeat will start again
And summer will show you how to live
