Autumn Fire

Autumn Fire
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The time is coming
Just about a month away
Cooler breezes and shorter days
Most flowers have come and gone
And the trees become balls of flame
Reds, yellows, and gold
Brightness beyond imagination
Nature creates such beauty
She wants us to have a last hope
A couple of weeks to remember what we had
And think about what we will have again
But we will have to suffer for an eternity
Just until spring comes around again
And it brings all the lost life back with it
A happy day for all of us

When I Die

When I Die
By Lord R.e. Taylor

When I die
I do not want a funeral
Nor do I want a casket
Or anyone to mourn over me
Just find an abandoned crypt
Way, way away from everyone
A place where no one ever goes
Just leave me there to spend eternity
Me and my ghost alone forever
Just the way I want it

Changing Reality

Changing Reality
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Reality is so fragile
Always changing
Anything can cause it
Something as big as a planet
Or as small as a single ant
Something as powerful as a bomb
Or as gentle as a spring breeze
It doesn’t matter what does it
Reality will change
Once it does it will never return
Gone in just an instant
So, enjoy it while you can
Or miss it forever
Your choice

Just Be There

Just Be There
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Don’t ask him what is wrong
It’s a doubt he would tell you
Just sit with him
But always give him the space he needs
Talk to him about anything
Show him respect, not judgement
Someday he will feel safe
He will tell you what is hurting him
Only then can you share his pain
Who knows, you may have saved his life
Just by being there for him

The Magic Of A Siren

The Magic Of A Siren
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Where did you learn your magic
Did you learn it from your mother
Or maybe friends at school
Someone taught you the right smile
The right way to fix your hair
And the way to use your eyes
Just like the Sirens of myths
You can bring any man to his knees
All you have to do is breathe
But you know that, don’t you
Someday your powers will work too well
A man will have his own power
And you will fall in love
That would serve you just right
If only you can handle it

Our Universe

Our Universe
By Lord R.e. Taylor

The Universe is alive
A sentient being
With a brain which thinks of us
Worrying when things go wrong
Cheering when things are good
And a heart which cares
Sharing its beat with all
We are the children of the Universe
It is our mother, our father
And everything that really matters
So, love the stars and the galaxies
They are gifts for us to admire
From a Universe which loves us

Portrait Of A Shameful History

Portrait Of A Shameful History
By Lord R.e. Taylor

Such a cute little boy
Like so many others
Convicted of a crime
Ripped from his mother’s arms
And allowed to live for a while
While his parents were murdered
He heard them scream when they died
They were burned and he never saw them again
He was judged by a barbaric country
It was decided that he was a danger
For merely being who he is
It wasn’t known how long he would have lived
If he was also murdered and burned
Or was he given to a German family
All we have is a picture to remember him by
But that is quite enough to make us think
Make us hope that history never happens again
