Another World

Another World

Living in the world we share
Life has become shades of grey
Color has been left at the side
Surviving only in tiny patches
Planned into the hard-grey city
Sometimes we all forget
There has always been another world
Just a short distance away
Giant trees grow to the edges of Heaven
Beautifully cut grass waits to tease your bare feet
And the sound of a gentle stream echoes
And the sweet smell of clear air lifts the soul
Too bad that most people will never see
They will always be trapped in steel boxes
Dreaming of a world which is so close
But so far out of their reach
