The Grace Of Diana

The Grace Of Diana
By R.e. Taylor

He imagined immortality
Always praying for it
The night Diana came to him
He knew that was what he wanted
She reminded him of all he had lost
All the love that he had lost
Diana said she would grant his wish
Only if he could lose so much more
Thinking of everyone he would outlive
His loves, his children, and grandchildren
He realized he could not stand such losses
Knowing that, Diana returned to the sky
To shield him every night from loss
Until the day he died, he lived a happy life
And never lost love ever again
