Walking The Rails

Walking The Rails
By Lord R.e. Taylor

So long ago
People rode the rails
Hiding in boxcars
Or riding on their tops
Today people still travel the rails
Not running from detectives
While jumping the freights
But so many more miles are covered
Walking in between the steel rails
On wood laid decades ago
Instead of transportation
People do it just for the fun
And to look at the beauty the tracks offer
