Planning For October

October snuck in without a sound
Opening the thin veil
One which no one opens
The souls came into our world
Watching and waiting
Picking children to scare
And counting the days until October 31
The night when they can be themselves
Moaning and banging in the dark
Showing themselves just enough
Making the night a perfect memory
