Purgatory

I lost my body a while ago
I don’t know how long for sure
But I am stuck somewhere
I can see Heaven and I can see Hell
I stand in between the two
Not allowed to enter either place
So, I wander the world of the living
Seeing everything I used to enjoy
Even people I used to love
They keep them just out of reach
This place isn’t Heaven or Hell
It is so much worse
A punishment I built for myself
A prison I can never leave
