He Was Alone

He Was Alone
by Lord R.e. Taylor

He still wants to work
He has worked since 1970
Now, they say he is too old
Trying to put him out to pasture
They have made him unimportant
He knows that is not true
But that is how he feels
And no one will tell him different
So, he will give it all up
Living alone and dying alone
Not because of any choices he made
But rather a choice from humanity
