A Special Woman

Her eyes shone in the evening light

Capturing the magic of the setting sun

And releasing their own beauty 

No, she cannot hide it

Nor would she ever want to

The power of the heavens and beauty of her heart

They combine to create a woman never seen before

One of unlimited grace and beauty

As well as the strongest spirit of any before  her

The world should feel lucky  that she chose

This time in this space of this reality

A time we needed someone just like her

Mom’s Wisdom

Mom’s Wisdom

Your mom taught you so much.

She thought it would make you better 

Maybe even save your life someday

Yes, most of it was genuine and honest

But others were a pure crock of .... 

Her best included not eating before swimming

Kissing will probably make you pregnant

And don't make a face because it will freeze that way

That last one is usually their favourite

How many people, though, did it work on

You never see anyone walking around with their tongues out

No one still has their fingers making antlers

And not a single person still has the nah nah nah face

So, it must be safe to make faces

Nothing will happen to you

Just another piece of mom’s ....

A piece you will use on your own kids

Maybe it will work for you

It sure didn’t work for her

The Meaning Of A Tear

Whenever I see a tear

Flowing down your cheek

I never know what to think

There are a million things it can mean

A tear can show sadness

That is the kind that goes forever

A tear can show happiness

It can be for a moment or longer

I would hate to be the one to make a mistake

Trying to make you feel better

When your heart is feeling truly happy

So, I will just wait until you are ready

Then you can tell me, and I will understand

And I will mourn or celebrate with you

Whatever you need when you need it

The Obsidian Church

The Obsidian Church

The ravens scream from hell

Awakening demons and leading them

Calling the Devil to cross the River Styx

It is time for them to reclaim the world

Remove and destroy all of the saints

Make money their new God and idiots their leaders 

Force them to worship at the new altar

Made of gold, blood, and bone of the beaten

Make the churches of the darkest obsidian

And fill them with all of the world's evil

Only that way will the darkness return

And it will last for all eternity

Fated Love

They grew up together 

But they never spoke

And never seen each other

Fate had her plans, though

Setting them up to meet

When they did it, it was in the library

Between the dust-covered shelves

Each wanted a particular book

Written by an author no one knows

And a title no one ever read

Two copies were dying on the shelf

Two copies, which got those two people talking

They smiled and shared a kiss before they left

They will never forget that book

Because it changed their lives

Precisely as Fate hoped it would

A Billion Billion Flowers

I wish I could give you a flower

One for every time I thought of you

Another for every time I loved you

And another for every time I wanted to kiss you

The problem is that I have loved you for so long

And loved you so strongly

The universe does not have that many flowers 

So just know that my heart holds a billion billion flowers

And they are all yours, my love

With a billion billion more to come for now, until forever

Somewhere In Time

Somewhere in time

Lost long ago

He had his only true love

All his life, he wondered

What one more kiss would have been like

How it would have felt to hold her again 

Maybe how is life would have been better

Alas, the time of that love was long gone

He would never be able to love her

Or love anyone else he ever met

Because she was always in his heart

In his mind, soul, and being

She would always be his one true love

The one true love he carried into eternity

With the hope that God would bless him

And they would reunite in Heaven

Making their true love last forever
