The Ultimate Temptation


The Ultimate Temptation

The pit is so dark
So deep that it has no bottom
Still it has a beauty
The glow of volcanic embers
Turn the walls into flickering gold
Dragons float below
Brushing their wings against night blooming flowers
Black clouds drift in the heated breezes
Lightning flashes and thunder rolls
Echoing through the infinite space
So hard to stand at the edge
The temptation is to leap into the void
To see what the world is like at the bottom
Yet, it is a question that must not be answered
The answer is beyond human understanding
Something the gods wish kept secret
Still it is there before us
The ultimate temptation which will never be sedated
All we have to do is float with the dragons
Watch the lightning and hear the thunder
And listen to our hearts
If we do
If we can
We will know all when the time is right
All we have to do is believe
