They Don’t Care
Don’t pledge allegiance to the flag
I don’t want to hear your prayers
God and the country have turned their backs on us
How could they allow people to die on the streets?
Why do children go to bed with nothing to eat?
Seniors are forced to survive on cat food
Our young are sent to kill and be killed
This is no way for our lives to be
They control our lives
They make the choices for us
It is time for them to think
It is time for them to care
If they don’t
If they can’t
We will never survive
Then who will they control?
