Wounded Knees

Wounded Knees
By Lord R.e. Taylor

I was one of the lucky ones
I was allowed to play
To rough house
And yes, even to get hurt
I lost so much skin
On many miles of asphalt
But all of the wounded knees I had
They were trophies of being a boy
And to me…that was a good life
