Please Give Me A Chance

Please do not just look at me

And then walk on past

I used to be such a happy girl

Playing with my family

Eating good meals

Sometimes sleeping with my owner

I never changed

I can promise you that

But they didn’t want me anymore

They dropped me off without saying goodbye

I doubt that they ever looked back

Or ever thought of me again

But I know that I can love you the way you want

I just need a chance

So, please do not just look at me

And then walk on past

Please, just give me a chance 

I will show you that I am a good girl

I am begging you, please, just give me a chance

My life depends on it
