The Perfect Lady

The Perfect Lady
by Lord R.e. Taylor

She lived a long life
Longer than so many others
She was the cutest little girl
Totally sweet and innocent
Then she married and lived in the ‘burbs
Had her allotted number of 2.6 kids
She raised them to be good people
And they made her a grandma
Her whole life was her family
Now, her busy days are long gone
You can always find her sitting on her porch
Her favourite coffee cup in her hand
She smiles as she waits
Maybe for her kids or grandkids
But most likely, she waits to make sure
That she will be here when tomorrow comes
