An Unimportant Particle
By Lord R.e. Taylor
A tiny particle of water
Too small to be seen
Racing helpless down the torrent
Watching the edge get closer
He has no fear
Going over the falls so many times
Always lifted by the wind
Carried back up the river
And left to start it over again
The day finally came
The wind blew exactly right
Lifting to all new heights
He drifted on the breezes
Flying over the thousands watching the falls
A little girl stood amazed at the water
The tiny droplet landed on her cheek
At that moment he was no longer just a drop
He became a memory
One that little girl will treasure for a lifetime
Not bad for an unimportant particle of water
