One Step After Another

One step after another
Each harder than the one before
Leading him back into the past
Back to all of his mistakes
They find the biggest ones first
Making him realize what he did
Not showing him how to fix them
So, he just suffers without end
Always taking just one more step
More mistakes and more suffering
That will always be his life
