The Wishing Well

The Wishing Well
By Lord R.e. Taylor

When they grew up
The old man next door
He had a special place
A farm which lasted far too long
Decades after it was productive
To children it was still magical
A place of fairies and witches
And so many fables began
They had their favorite place
An ancient well hidden away
They could make any wish
Some would come true
But that never mattered
It was still a special place
Even after all this time
Waiting for new children to come
To make new wishes and new memories
